Greetings
Eleven years ago I submitted a business plan based on the prediction that the Adobe Acrobat format would ultimately dominate the publication of all law in the United States and would be ubiquitous in the legal community. It was very well received and a panel of judges selected by the Miami Herald Business editor selected it one of the best (2nd place in 2001). At the time, I was in the 14th year of contested litigation with the Eastman Kodak Company with my prior company [Thomas Gordon Associates, Inc.] founded with my late wife Barbara Thomas.
While my lawyers were some of the best in South Florida the ordeal taught me about the need for FREE LAW. The experience of being on the outside of the law and dependant on an abundance of "case law" that was only available if I paid for it though one of various legal publishers or commercial search sites or by photocopying it at the local law library gave me the motivation to one day attempt to make the law available to everyone, for free, on the internet in one reliable and secure location. This website is the start of that dream and the continuation of another. I look forward to your help, your suggestions and helpful links which you may submit that can further this goal.
